Mazzalves Pupils Also Take Part in an Erasmus+ Project
Mazzalves pupils attended a camp in Poland as part of an Erasmus+ project in spring. On 9 August, the “Tenth Fun Sports Games” took place on Lucavsala island within the same project, “New Voices — a Strong Europe”. Ērberģe was represented by Annika Eļļuka, Emīlija Piebalga, Oskars Piebalgs, Alise Tīna Vāciete and Agnija Misūne together with teacher Agita Sirsniņa.
Young people from Ērberģe and Limbaži took part alongside people with visual impairments. The main aim of the day was to experience and understand what it is like to complete different tasks without being able to use sight.
Participants were divided into mixed teams, each of which completed six different stations. The tasks were both fun and challenging, but everyone succeeded. At the end of the day, the best participants received diplomas and medals.
Between activities, there was an opportunity to listen to a musical performance by young people from Limbaži and, of course, to dance along. Later, all participants enjoyed a tasty treat.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable and positive day, providing not only a good time but also a new experience and a better understanding of the daily challenges faced by people with visual impairments.
