Elmārs Vectirāns’ Private Bottle Collection
It began with a few unusual bottles. Today there are more than 1,200.
The private collection of Anita and Elmārs Vectirāns at “Brunavi” includes bottles whose main value is not their contents, but their shape and story. The exhibits range from miniatures and five-litre bottles to examples shaped like swords and human figures.
A particularly notable piece is a German glass bottle found in First World War trenches. Some items were brought home from travels, while other interesting bottles were entrusted to the owners by local residents.
The owner tells the collection’s stories with humour and engaging anecdotes.
